If you’re blogging, but nobody’s listening, take heart.
Cathy Stucker, aka The Idea Lady, offers six great tips on how to encourage people to comment at your blog.
Ask questions at the end of your blog posts, she says. And be controversial by taking a contrarian stand on an issue.
I love her suggestion of interacting with commenters—something I don’t always have time to do but something that can pay huge dividends in the long run. Leaving comments for people who comment will encourage them to return to your blog to continue the conversation. And it shows people who read your blog that you’re listening.
If you’re blogging, and you’re getting lots of comments, how are you doing it? Comment here, and we’ll continue the conversation. Promise.
I read the article and I will take Cathy’s advice. I’m not getting many comments on my blog yet so I can’t answer your question about how I’m doing it. Thanks for the head’s up though.
