Corporate speech pathologists need ideas for marketing accent modification services

This “Help This Hound” question comes from Katie Schwartz, president of the Corporate Speech Pathology Network

“I wanted to let you know that I have just publicized your business to over 70 corporate speech pathologists. We work as consultants to the business community. We come from four  countries, although primarily the U.S.

“One of the services most of us provide is foreign (and regional) accent modification. The new immigration pathways to citizenship in the U.S. seem to present a real opportunity to corporate speech pathologists who often provide accent modification services to professionals.

“How do you suggest we in the Corporate Speech Pathology Network take advantage of this opportunity and get publicity regarding our services?”

Every Fourth of July, there are ceremonies all over the US for brand-new citizens. An accent modification specialist can start – and publicize – a program to “adopt” one of the new citizens or a family and help them gear up to better partake of the American Dream. This is something that can be repeated every year and isn’t contingent on the passing of new legislation. – Marcia Yudkin, Author, 6 Steps to Free Publicity and 16 other books

      Marcia,
Thanks for the great idea! By the way, I really liked your book, 6 Steps to Free Publicity!

Love this idea, Marcia. The media are always looking for July 4 stories, and the “firecrackers can blow your fingers off” story gets kind of old.

By the way, your book, 6 Steps to Free Publicity, was the first one I read when I left the newspaper business and started my own gig. That book is must reading for anyone who wants free publicity.
