I use LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook, almost exclusively for business. But not everyone likes those three sites. Some are on one but not the others. Some who are on all three aren’t aware that I am, too.
I link from the right side of my website to my various social media accounts. I link from my Google profile.
I experimented with something this week that started with a wild idea on how I can use my LinkedIn account to attract more followers to my Twitter feed and Facebook fan page.
The first day I tried it, it worked like a charm. I saw a nice little bump in the number of people who are now following me on both of those sites and got there from LinkedIn.
It Takes Just 10 Seconds
Here’s the best part. I’ve figured out a way to make sure this tactic doesn’t take more than about 10 seconds of my time whenever I decide to use it.
I’m not spamming. I’m not annoying people who see me use it. In fact, my LinkedIn connections have thanked me over and over again.
I ran it by Wayne Breitbarth and he loved it!
Wayne, a LinkedIn expert, will be my guest expert during our webinar on Thursday, March 3, on Your LinkedIn Power Formula: How to Make Killer Contacts, Pull Crowds to Events, be a Star in Your Industry & Track Down Leads like a Bloodhound. If you can’t make it because the time is inconvenient, sign up anyway because we’re recording it, and I’ll be sending the video replay link to everyone who registers.
Wayne will be sharing dozens of tips on everything from how to use LinkedIn’s advanced search feature to the power of LinkedIn groups. I’ll explain in detail my new discovery and show you how to do the same things to generate lots of followers on Twitter and Facebook.
See you on Thursday’s call.
I have been on LinkedIn and had a lot of success connecting and networking there as compared with gaining customer interaction on facebook, twitter or by blogging. However, lots of followers are not transferring over to facebook, twitter or our blog as expected and nothing is leading to sales.
