Smart Publicity Hounds promote their product, service, cause or issue with an ezine, short for “electronic magazine”—one of the most powerful marketing tools ever invented. That’s because you have a ready-made list of people who have given you permission to market to them until they say “stop.”
If you already publish one, make sure it’s listed at BestEzines.com, an ezine directory that’s the sister site of EzineArticles.com, the giant article directory site. When you submit your ezine to BestEzines.com, it gets promoted via the BestEzines RSS feeds that reach thousands of people interested in new email newsletters devoted to your category or niche. Other email publishers, marketers and members will rate and comment on the quality of your ezine.
You can subscribe to my ezine, “The Publicity Hound’s Tips of the Week,” at the archives, or from the box that bounces down from the top of the screen at my website. If you have a publicity problem you can’t solve on your own, submit it to the “Help This Hound” section of the newsletter. After I post the question at this blog, I include it in the newsletter and ask Publicity Hounds to submit their ideas in the form of comments at the blog. I print a sampling of answers in the ezine the following week, and then link to all the answers.
Don’t have an ezine yet? Make this the year you finally do it! See “Special Report #38: How to Publish a Profitable Electronic Newsletter.” And then learn how to make your ezine and blog work together. “How to Use a Blog & an Ezine Together to Grow Your Business” gives you dozens of ideas for cross-promoting and recycling content from the ezine to the blog and vice-versa.
