Article directories, free online press releases work hand in hand to generate publicity

I just hired someone to start submitting my many articles about free publicity to online article directories, using ArticleSubmitterPro, which makes the job easy.

The same day my assistant started registering me at various sites, Publicity Hound Paulette Ensign, a.k.a. The Tips Booklet Queen, sent me this interesting thread at a discussion board about the power of submitting online news releases.

Phil Wiley, who discusses affiliate marketing at the Affiliate Talk Forum, says most of us don’t post enough press releases online.

He’s right, of course. Press releases, particularly those that are optimized for the search engines, can pull traffic to your website the same way articles can. But unlike articles, which can become outdated, press releases can be timely and piggyback off events in the news.

When you sign up for a subscription to Expertclick.com, the website that includes the Yearbook of Experts, a major resource directory used by journalists worldwide, you can send 52 news releases a year, without any per-release charges, to tens of thousands of journalists via NewsReleaseWire.com. Your releases are linked directly to your Expertclick.com profile.

In other words, not only are you making it easy for journalists to find you, but you’re sending dozens of press releases that help the search engines find you, too.
