I’m starting a big promotion campaign for my free email course called “89 Ways to Write Powerful Press Releases” and I’m looking for ideas from my Hounds so I don’t miss anything.
I’m looking for:
—Contact information for bloggers and ezine editors who would be interested in this course. I’ve already contacted many of them, but I want the broadest reach possible.
—Contact information for newsletter editors at trade associations that would be willing to share this information with their members.
—Ideas for places other than article directories to post an article about the course, with tips.
—Authors who are writing about marketing or publicity and might be willing to include this informatin in their next book.
—Contact information for nonprofits that would be willing to share sign-up information with their members.
—Any other great ideas for promotion.

How about university professors who teach communications/PR? Organizations like FPRA, PRSA, IABC etc who hold annual professional development seminars?

What about promoting your course among university PR students and/or their professors? There are hundreds of PR/journalism programs across the country. Your course might be a great supplement to their classes. There’s also PRSSA.

I’m probably stating the obvious but what about PRSA? With chapters in nearly every state, these are the folks that make fine art out of networking. It may also be a great venue to get your speaking engagements publicized as well. Good luck!

I promote your “89 Ways to Write Powerful Press Releases” at business networking presentations. Many of the members are too small to afford a PR agency and small business owners are very hands-on in their marketing efforts. There’s some national networking groups that may be interested in offering the course through their enewsletters (e.g. eWomenNetwork.com). Chambers of Commerce around the country might also love to alert their membership.

* Big name speakers and authors in any field who use in-house or outside agencies for their publicity

They all have large lists and those subscribers are seeking ways to make more money and could use your great tips (I think I printed out all of them!)
* set-up an eBay or other auction site and sell a report for 99 cents which gets folks to your site to sign up for the 89 Ways freebie (use the About Me page too)
* there are bound to be several joint venture partners who would be delighted to give something away free in return for knowing about your tips which will add value to their bottom line and provide a nice service to their readers or clients.
I plan on contacting these resources when I release my info-products (as soon as I get the website on-line).

In addition to that paid advertising opportunity for VAs, I’ve discovered some new, aspiring and even established virtual assistants would like more marketing avenues and ideas to reach potential clients. So I also recently began a free ezine called VA Marketing Tips Toolkit Series for that audience.
Writing press releases could certainly benefit these VAs. If you have a certain blurb you want to write about your course that’s targeted specifically to this group, send it to me. Otherwise, I’ll just send my ezine readers the link to the course.
