Bloggers, if you’re looking for a fast, easy, meaty blog post that your target audience will love and share with others, use this holiday blogging tip—a perfect way to keep your blog fresh when you’re taking time off.
Email 10 experts and ask them to answer a question about a problem your audience struggles with. PR expert Susan Joyce emailed me this week with this compelling subject line: “2 lines of your expertise for a post.”
I opened it immediately because I knew that if I responded, it wouldn’t take a lot of time. And it’s one more way to promote my expertise. Here’s the entire message:
Here’s my answer:
“Recycle your content, create it in multiple formats, and share it on the social media sites. Example: Take a how-to blog post and turn it into an MP3, and then a video (record yourself offering 3 tips from the article), and then a slideshow for LinkedIn, and then a series of photos for a Pinterest board. Note to self: Do this in 2013 and stop creating content from scratch!”
