Advice Needed on Using IMDbPro to Contact Celebrities

Publicity Hound Teri Brown of North Las Vegas, Nev., asks:

“Do you know if IMDbPro is a good resource for finding current contact info on celebrities?  They charge $19.95 on a month-to-month basis or less yearly.  My main concern is current info.  Have you heard anything about them one way or the other?”

The Publicity Hound says:

I know about them, Teri, but I can’t offer an opinion because I don’t know anyone who uses them. IMDb includes extensive contact information (addresses, talent managers, publicists and legal representatives) for people and companies in the film and entertainment industry. They will not contact celebrities on your behalf or forward messages from you. You can get a free trial here.

If no one knows about IMDb, is there another company anyone else uses that is a good resource?

I use ContactAnyCelebrity myself but often do an internet search of the celeb’s name plus one of the following (agent or manager or publicist). I some times find these on the celeb’s official website as well. My big tip on communicating with the “gate-keepers” of celebs — communicate a mutually-beneficial business opportunity. If you don’t, they see it as a waste of time. I also find celebs and contact them directly on Twitter, Facebook or through their talent agency.
